First Grade Sea Otter News (The Last Edition!)
Happy Summer Break! The first graders thoroughly enjoyed their last week of school. They loved their buddy lunch on Tuesday as well as performing a dance for their 8th grade buddies during the Farewell Assembly. On Wednesday they visited 2nd grade during Bump Up day to ask questions in preparation for 2nd grade. On Thursday students participated in Under The Sea Day. They rotated through 7 different stations such as: sand art, pass the bucket, and Lei making. A huge THANK YOU to the volunteers who helped run a station- Mrs. Wade and Ms. Sheridan- we couldn’t have done it without you! Today we ended our special week with a wonderful Mass where we learned about how much God loves us.
Please check your child’s folder (bag) for his/her report card, STAR report, MAP test results, and SLE rubric. 🙂
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out on the field trips, with sight word and math fact practice, helping during special events like Christmas Around the World, Habitat Day, Parent Art Days, Auction, and Library. A special thanks to Mrs. Wade for being an amazing room parent and supporting me so much during my first year at St. John!
It has been an incredible year in first grade! Mrs. Brown and I appreciate all your support this year. We couldn’t have done it without you. Have an amazing summer!
All the Best, Mrs. Peoples
